Mat work is a great place to learn the fundamentals of Pilates without having to master new exercise equipment at the same time! Mat Pilates is often thought of as being more intense than apparatus (reformer) Pilates as it teaches you to create resistance within your own body. The mat exercises are adaptable to any fitness level and will help you quickly gain a lot of strength and confidence in Pilates.
